About This Project

Client Background

The Brehon Hotel is a luxury four-star hotel in the heart of Killarney. They sought to replace their bedroom door locks with a more modern system. Due to the hotel’s busy schedule and high occupancy rates, the upgrade needed to be carefully planned and executed with minimal disruption to daily operations.

The Challenge

The primary issue was the reliability of the old magstripe lock system, which had served the hotel well but was now outdated. This led to operational inefficiencies. Additionally, the current setup lacked the modern access options needed in a busy hotel.

The Goal

The goal was to replace the Magstrip electronic lock system with a modern, smart locking solution.

The installation took place over two months, from March to May 2025, carefully coordinated around the hotel’s booking schedule. Installation was carried out during arranged time slots when guest rooms were unoccupied.

On site Coordination

Due to the hotel’s high occupancy during peak tourist season, the MF Services team had to be flexible and efficient. This meant working in narrow windows between check-out and check-in.
