Liffey Valley Shopping Centre was undergoing an extension of a new wing. As part of this, Energy Glazing appointed MF Services to install a fire-rated glass window and door system.
The project required a fire-rated glazed door system that combined visual appeal with full compliance to building and safety regulations.
The goal was to install fully compliant shopfronts that aligned with the architectural design of the new development, while ensuring timely delivery to meet store opening deadlines.

These systems were chosen for their ability to meet the architects’ specifications while offering a high-performance solution. The glazed screens are both durable and reliable, making them ideal for the demands of a busy retail environment. The Forster Fuego Light range delivers up to 60 minutes of fire-rated protection without compromising visual transparency, ensuring the shopfronts remain functional and fully compliant. All products adhered to the relevant requirements of Part B (Fire Safety) and Part M (Access) of the Irish Building Regulations.
The project was delivered over 12 weeks, from proposal to completion.
The installation was carried out within a live shopping centre environment, requiring careful coordination to minimise disruption to shoppers and retail tenants. All products were delivered and installed efficiently, with work scheduled during off-peak hours to ensure smooth operations throughout the centre.
MF Services successfully delivered a high-quality glazed door and screen system that combined modern design with essential fire safety features. The completed installation included fixed glazed screens with top fanlights and side panels, providing maximum visibility into retail units. The solution maintained full compliance with all relevant fire and building regulations, ensuring both safety and functionality.
