Upon insertion of a parking ticket the unit prints a predefined barcode onto the ticket, just above the access barcode.
A second discount mark can be applied by using the other end of the ticket.

When presenting the ticket at the exit terminal or paystation, all barcodes are read and the corresponding tariff and validation scheme is being selected.
Within one car park installation each XP1800 may print its own barcode ID, allowing individual validation schemes in multi-shop environments, such as in shopping malls.
